Awesome. Well detailed and durable. Has some type of heavy plastic finish that accepts stick on flags, markers, and mileage notes to use with tour books.Think back to the days of getting a road map at a gas or welcome center. This is a driving map, termed adventure in the title. I am doing a 10 day self driving road trip, and need a highway map to go with WAZE and TOM TOM’s maps. This will get you to the city you need, show you the route of the Tel Aviv to Jerusalem train, and the geography of the region you are in. You need a tour book and the maps in the tour book. One has a very nice map of Jerusalem in the back. No city blow ups, a road map plain and simple.Well worth the price to understand why it’s a five hour ride across the Gaza Strip to Eilat from Tel Aviv; and book a fifty minute flight there instead. It’s a tool, welcome back to the 70’s.

Such a disappointment. I need a map for driving. There is so much detail packed in that it is unreadable without a magnifying glass. This is not practical, even for a navigator, in a moving car. And it shows different boundaries - international, administrative and disputed - all in yellow with slightly varying lengths of black dashes. Amidst the clutter of everything else mentioned above, the two latter ones look alike - unless you already know the boundaries. Then you don't need this. I just want to travel without having to go through checkpoints and can't tell that from these maps.National Geographic, you can do better.

Exactly what I wanted. I have earlier versions, all the way back to when they were just Trails Illustrated and no National Geographic. But the new versions have currently closure info and other trail info. While the older versions give better contour detail than these new ones. The new ones give greater detail on the man made things like building, parking, and other infrastructure. So having old and new is the way to go!

Wanted this map for an upcoming trip to visit national parks/ natural sites and historic sites. Map shows every road, village and creek (assume most are dry) in the country. There is so much detail it’s virtually impossible to find anything (like Hezehiahs tunnels which is listed under “includes” on map jacket) even if you know where to look. There is no detail on cities or towns.

Great map. Terrific. Will be using it during a guided tour so I can track where I am and where we are headed. Offers terrain relief deemed essential for getting a lay of the land. Got it today and have marked the destinations on it for reference during the trip. So looking forward to reaching the Golan Heights...among scores of other points of historical interest - which of course includes Biblical sites! This goes in the pocket of the backpack! If I wanted a road atlas - I'd have purchased a road atlas with the nifty spirals - and it would have been stuffed beside the console or on the lap of the navigator.

I spent a week traveling around Israel last month and this map was invaluable. Yes, there is great cell service in most areas, but if you're driving north to the Golan Heights, or south to the Dead Sea, service is spotty which means no GPS on your phone. This mapped save the day on two occasions and got us to our destinations with no wasted driving time, so that in itself paid for the map!

I'm a map geek and am very picky about my maps. This was a great addition on a recent tour of Israel. You might want to pick up a separate map of Jerusalem if you are going to stay there for any length of time, but this map was very helpful in touring around the country.

Effective detailed map that helped us follow our 10 day tour. Well made, easy to fold and unfold. Text size and color allows lots of detail and while being easy to read. Recommended.
